Transfer Students

Priority Filing Dates:
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Candidates
- Physical Therapy: January 1
- Occupational Therapy: March 1
- Physician Assistant: March 15
Candidates for physical therapy, occupational therapy and physician
assistant may submit an application for admission after the priority
filing date, and will be reviewed on the basis of availability.
Application Requirements:
The applicant is responsible for the submission of all required
documents, including official transcripts from all current and/or
previously attended colleges or universities.
Candidates who have not completed a bachelors and/or an associates
degree(s) must arrange to have high school transcripts submitted
to the USP Admission Office.
Candidates who have not completed a bachelors and/or an associates
degree(s) must arrange to have official Scholastic Assessment Test
scores (SAT) or American College Test scores (ACT)
submitted to the USP Admission Office, if completed. The
USP code for the SAT is 2663. The USP code for the ACT is 3671.
Transfer candidates may be asked to submit a career-focused narrative
statement.
Candidates for transfer into the first professional year of the
Doctor of Pharmacy program (third year) are required to submit scores
from the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT). The USP
code for the PCAT is 056. Additional information for the
PCAT can be obtained through Harcourt Assessment, Inc. at 800.622.3231
or www.pcatweb.info.
Notification Process:
- Candidates for transfer into the Pharmacy and Physical Therapy
Programs are reviewed as a group after the respective priority
filing date.
- Candidates for transfer who apply by the priority filing date
are given priority consideration and if transfer space exists,
the most qualified applicants will be offered admission.
- The rolling admission policy is followed for all other candidates
for transfer. Candidates will be notified shortly after the completed
application is reviewed.
