Community Service at
USP
Community Service– The performance
of formal service to benefit others or one's community without receiving
any external rewards; the engagement of students in activities where
the primary emphasis is on the service provided
Community Service activities take many forms here at University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
We have several student organizations whose primary goal is to
provide service to the community, as well as many other groups (professional
and social) which include service in their many activities. There
are also many individuals; students, faculty and staff, who take
an active part in the surrounding community
This year alone USP students have:
Taken part in the Philadelphia AIDS Walk, Susan B. Komen Walk for
Breast Cancer,The American Red Cross and March of Dimes Walks, as
well as several other walk-events
Held clothing, book, toy and soap drives benefiting members of
our community
Tutored and mentored local students
Painted pumpkins with HMS School students

for use by both the campus and surrounding community
