Dr. Jessica Sautter was named assistant professor of medical sociology at University of the Sciences.
Among her more unusual accomplishments, Dr. Sautter helped design the first nationally representative survey of internet dating in the U.S. She has also contributed to the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey, which studies the life course of healthy Chinese elders. Dr. Sautter hopes to facilitate student involvement in the community in areas related to healthy aging.
Dr. Sautter most recently served as a postdoctoral fellow in health services research at the Duke University Medical Center and Durham VA Medical Center. She received both her MA and PhD in sociology from Duke University with a graduate certificate in health policy and earned her BA in psychology and sociology from The College of New Jersey.
Originally from Shamong, N.J., Dr. Sautter currently resides in Audubon, N.J.
