Rosemarie Halt, a pharmacist and public health consultant, has joined the board of directors at Maternity Care Coalition (MCC). Halt is a graduate of University of the Sciences where she received both her bachelors of science in pharmacy (1989) and a masters in public health (2012). Halt brings to the MCC Board extensive knowledge and experience in public health policies and community leadership.

“As a member of MCC’s board, I want to ensure that mothers have access to healthcare and have the ability to take care of their children,” said Halt.

Halt also currently serves as the secretary of the alumni board at the University of Sciences. Additionally, she enjoys traveling and photography.

Founded in 1980, Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the health and well-being of pregnant women, parents, and young children. Its comprehensive approach includes public policy initiatives, research, and services for families.

MCC has assisted more than 80,000 families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania since its founding, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns. Its focused research enables more targeted service delivery, and its outreach to policymakers helps inform critical decision-making.
