Founded in 1980, Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the health and well-being of pregnant women, parents, and young children. Its comprehensive approach includes public policy initiatives, research, and services for families.
MCC has assisted more than 80,000 families throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania since its founding, focusing particularly on neighborhoods with high rates of poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and changing immigration patterns. Its focused research enables more targeted service delivery, and its outreach to policymakers helps inform critical decision-making.
