On Saturday, June 9, a group of 22 from USciences along with friends and family members participated in the National Multiple Sclerosis MuckRuckus Philly, a six-mile mud and military obstacle course. The event is designed to raise money to support local families of the Philadelphia region living with MS.

The event is no easy task: six miles of running trails, up hills, under and over obstacles, and sloshing through lots of mud. The USciences team started together, and finished together. Not only was this a great opportunity to be in the outdoors and have fun overcoming obstacles, but it was an amazing opportunity to raise money for a good cause.  Many members of the USciences team have personal connections with individuals who are living with MS which made the whole experience of participating in this event all the more rewarding.

The USciences team was surpassed its goal and raised $3,351.00 to date. If you would like to donate to the MS Society, please click here

USciences participants included Campus Recreation Director Marc Caserio, Bobby Hand DPT’14, Melissa Jankoviak PharmD’13, Frank Lai DPT’10, Annette Lista PharmD’14, Executive Director for External Affairs at Mayes College Mary Kate McGinty, Michael Rabinowitz PharmD’15, Security Officer Matthew Richardson, Cory Rickards DPT’13, Student Life Associate Director Jay Tifone, Daphne Torre PharmD’14, and Fitness/Aquatics Manager Marie Kiechel.
