Hundreds of students at University of the Sciences left their mark on National Breast Cancer Awareness month as the University’s 4th Annual Pink-a-Thon
raised more than $6,000 for breast cancer awareness.
“More than 700 attendees attended Pink-A-Thon to show their support for breast cancer awareness while enjoying a night of fun,” said Princy John PharmD’16, coordinator of the event.
Pink-A-Thon is hosted each year at USciences in October to help raise money for the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation – a Philadelphia-based, nonprofit organization that provides education, advocacy, and direct healthcare for individuals in need of services, such as free mammograms.
According to Donna Duncan, executive director of Linda Creed, USciences’ Pink-a-Thon events have collectively raised more than $18,000 over the past four years.
