Catch the Spirit

USP attracts a special breed of student athlete, those who are intensely disciplined and competitive, both on the playing field and in the classroom.

Since 2005, 20 USP student-athletes have been named to the Philadelphia Area All-Academic Team in their respective sports, with seven earning Performer-of-the-Year status. In that same timeframe, 39 athletes earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team honors, with many multiyear recipients.

Our athletes aren’t just winning academic awards; they are high performers in the game.

Check Out Our Recent Accomplishments

• Women’s cross country: Won the CACC championship in 2005, and for the past five years competed at the NCAA regionals and was named a Division II All-Academic Team
• Women’s rifle: Won at least one MAC Championship title in each of first three years competing 
• Women’s tennis: Reached the CACC semifinals in last three conference seasons and won the championship in 2005
• Women’s basketball: Won CACC championships in 2004 and 2006 and qualified for post-season play in eleven straight seasons
• Men’s basketball: CACC runner-up in 2007 and qualified for post-season play in 26 straight seasons
• Men’s cross country: Competed at the NCAA regionals in three of the past five years
• Women's Volleyball: Reached the CACC Champonship Game in 2005 and qualified for conference playoffs in four of the past five years
• Women's Softball: Qualified for the 2008 CACC playoffs, their first post-season appearance since 2001
