& History:
Dr.
Robson has been a faculty member in the Humanities Department at University
of the Sciences in Philadelphia since 1997.
His teaching areas include history of Russia/USSR, modern Europe,
religion and society in Russia, religious and scientific cosmology and
European intellectual heritage.
Before coming to USP, he was an assistant professor at Fayetteville
State University and previously an adjunct assistant professor at Boston
College.
Dr.
Robson demonstrated his expertise of Russia through his book, Old
Believers in Modern Russia, in 1995.
He is writing another book called A
History of Solovetskii, which should be published later this year.
He has written journal articles and book chapters on religion and
modern Russia and spoken at conferences in
America and across Europe on topics pertaining to the history and
modern times of Russia. He
has been a peer referee for Russian
Review, Slavic Review and
the Harvard Papers in Ukrainian
Studies. He is a member
of many professional organizations, including the American Historical
Association, Southern Slavic Association, American Association for the
Advancement of Slavic Studies and the Slavic Folklore Association.
Dr.
Robson has received grants and fellowships from many agencies,
including Fulbright, American Council of Learned Societies,
the International Research and Exchange Board, and the National
Endowment for the Humanities.
